Almoutassim Al Kilani is a legal expert with expertise in human rights and international criminal law. Almoutassim is currently the Director of the Strategic Litigation Project at the Arab Council Foundation in Geneva, Switzerland, combatting impunity through international litigation and UN human rights mechanisms. Previous roles include serving as the Europe Branch Manager at the American Center for the Levant Studies in Washington DC (July 2022 – Sept 2023) and a legal assistant in the International Department of the Paris Bar Association (March 2022 – July 2022). Notably, Almoutassim served as the Litigation Project Manager at the Syrian Center for Freedom of Expression & International Federation for Human Rights in Paris (Feb 2017 – Feb 2022), managing legal investigations related to thirteen International War Crimes against Humanity. Almoutassim holds a Mini-MBA in Global Management from the Royal Academy in Switzerland (2023) and a Master 2 in Criminal Law International from Nanterre University in Paris (2021-2023). He has actively participated in training programs organized by the Institute for International Criminal Investigation and the International Bar Association.
