Hüseyin Dişli graduated from Istanbul University School of Law in 2014 and obtained his LLM by research in the History and Philosophy of Law program at Edinburgh University with a dissertation titled “Law as an Expression of Pure Reason in Leibniz.” He has been a lawyer affiliated with the Antalya Bar Association (Turkey) since 2015. Currently, he is a final-year PhD candidate at the University of Kent, where he is writing a thesis on the evolution of ‘juridical truth’ in modernity through the dual lens of Platonic alētheia and the Heideggerian problematisation of metaphysics. He taught English Legal System and Public Law modules at Kent Law School from 2021 to 2023 and is currently convening/teaching Legal History and Legal Philosophy modules at Boğaziçi University Faculty of Law. Additionally, he serves as a legal counsel to Freedom Flotilla Coalition.
